How does the leave planner work?
It looks at every public holiday and weekend in the year and finds the working days that, taken as leave, join them into the longest breaks. It then picks the non-overlapping breaks that give the most days off for the leave you have.
What is the difference between “most days off” and “longer breaks”?
“Most days off” maximises the total number of days off, which usually means several long weekends for one leave day each. “Longer breaks” only uses breaks of nine days or more, for when you want proper holidays.
Can I add the plan to my calendar?
Yes. “Add plan to my calendar” downloads an .ics file with each leave day, which you can import into Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. Remember to request the leave from your employer too.
